In case you are taking the PCR test using the Covidpass app or if the test is indicted by your physician, the result is not sent to the patient's email address. The results are sent only to the indicating physician or from the NCZI (National Health Information Centre) in the official language. If the patient needs a special test certificate in English (Medical Certificate), it may be issued to him/her in person for a fee of €10.

What is the best test for COVID-19 and when to take it

On day 6 - 10 after the contact with the infection:

The RT-PCR method, sample collection using pharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swabs.

On day 10 - 15 after the contact with the infection:

By combining the "RT-PCR test" and "COVID-19 disease phase test". The conclusive confirmation of the infection is always performed using the RT-PCR test from the swab. 

More than 15 days after your contact with the infection:

"COVID-19 disease phase" or "Overcome COVID 19/post-infection" tests; in case of a positive result of the "COVID-19 disease phase" test, it is necessary to perform an RT-PCR test to confirm the result.
